Zhul Hijjah 1439H Alert

The Crescent Moon to commence the month of Zhul Hijjah 1439 AH was looked for after the sunset on Sunday, August 12, 2018 and WAS SIGHTED in multiple locations by CHC sub-committees by ru'yat 'amma throughout the East Coast.


The Central Hilal Committee of North America has accepted these reports and has declared, Monday, August 13, 2018 as 1 Zhul Hijjah 1439. Eid al-Adha will be on Wednesday, August 22, inshaAllah.

1st Zhul Hijjah : Monday, August 13
9 - 13 Zhul Hijjah (Ayyam Tashreeq) : Tues, Aug 21 - Sat, Aug 25
9th Zhul Hijjah (Yawm Arafah) : Tuesday, August 21
10th Zhul Hijjah (Eid al-Adha) : Wednesday, August 22
