The Hilal to commence the month of Sha'ban 1447 AH was looked for after the sunset on Monday, January 19, 2026. The Hilal WAS SIGHTED by CHC subcommittee members in Atlanta, GA and Tampa, FL. (20+ in Tampa, FL under Moulana Omar Nagi and 5+ brothers under Ml Ahmed Jafary and Brother Mahfooz Rahman, CHC Representatives)
The Central Hilal Committee of North America has accepted these report(s) and has declared:
Tuesday, January 20, 2026, the 1st day of Sha'ban 1447 AH.
